EU: 'Gaming suppliers provide information to tax authorities'

Published in the EU Journal, the European Parliament Recommendation requiring gaming service suppliers to provide information to tax authorities.

The Recommendation of the European Parliament of 13 December 2017 to the Council and the Commission lays it down, following the investigation in relation to money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion published in the European Journal today, 11 October. Furthermore, the European Parliament "calls on the Commission to urgently assess the implications that e-gaming activities, virtual currencies, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology and financial technology can have on money laundering and tax crime; it also calls on the Commission to consider possible measures, including a legislative proposal, aimed at creating a regulatory framework for these activities with a view to limiting the tools allowing money laundering".
