International Business and Regulatory Roundtable at Gat Expo

The trade show to be held on March 15, 16 and 17 in Cartagena, Colombia, will bring together more than a thousand attendees in an eagerly awaited business meeting full of novelties.

Gaming & Technology Expo has included in its rich academic and networking agenda an International Business and Regulatory Roundtable, an event to be held on Wednesday afternoon, March 16, organized by Fecoljuegos and V&I Legal Consultants. The moment of economic reactivation that the different gaming verticals are going through, the accelerated pace of digital transformation and the creation of new forms of entertainment and betting, are a challenge for regulatory bodies in Latin America and the Caribbean. Colombia is at the forefront with a very advanced regulation that Coljuegos has been leading since 2016. Recently, Buenos Aires has issued a regulation for online gambling and Brazil, the previous month, managed to approve a gaming regulation with general rules that initiate the long-awaited process of legalization of gambling in the South American giant. This is enough motivation for the implementation of the International Business and Regulation Roundtable at GAT Expo Cartagena 2022. The call has been attended by law professionals specialized in the gaming industry who will come to 'La Heroica' from Spain, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. The firms that will be part of the conference are: MF Estudio-Abogados from Argentina, Gaming Law SAC from Peru, Portilla, Ruy-Díaz y Aguilar, S.C. from Mexico, FYMSA from Brazil and Loyra Abogados from Spain. The Colombian representation in this Business Roundtable will be in charge of V&I Consultores Legales S.A.S. as general coordinators and Muñoz Tamayo y Asociados. Between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on March 16 at the Claustro de las Ánimas of the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, where the exhibition will be held in stands of online platforms, the experts will advise, free of charge, the consultations of businessmen on regulatory issues relevant to each of the aforementioned jurisdictions in individual meetings of 15 minutes. Interested parties should request appointments with these top-notch legal advisors who, for the most part, are participating for the first time in an event of this nature within the framework of a trade fair specialized in the gaming industry. In addition to the consultations, during the same hours, the jurists will give brief lectures on relevant topics such as Responsible Gaming, Regulatory Panorama in Argentina, Peru, Chile and Brazil: Opportunities and Challenges, Regulatory Challenges in Colombia and Spain, How to Sell a Gaming Company in Latin America and Definition of a Policy on Integrity in Sports at a Regional Level. Regarding the dynamics and staging of the International Business and Regulatory Roundtable at GAT Expo 2022, attorney Tatiana Vásquez Pastrana, host of the event, states: "At stand D64 of Fecoljuegos and V&I Consultores, with the sponsorship of the company DAPS Solutions, experts in IGaming and sports betting data protection, we will set up round tables where lawyers and those who have requested an appointment to make their consultations will be located by country. In the request, those interested should indicate their names and surnames and the topic and country for the advice to be provided by the respective professional. We will be honored with their presence Cristina Romero De Alba, Tomás Enrique García Botta, Carlos Alberto Fonseca Sarmiento, Carlos Fernando Portilla Robertson, Iván Guerrero Sánchez, María Luiza Kurban Jobim, Joe Bonilla, Daniel Cardona, María Paola Isaza Zuluaga and Laura Ruiz Millán.
