Cgs Latam highlights regulatory stability of the gaming industry in Chile

The Cgs Latam will be held in hybrid format. Remote, bilingual and live conferences, as well as virtual expo and presence to facilitate the participation of all latitudes.

Cgs Latam 2022 has announced this week through its social networks the participation of important brands of the gaming industry, who will be sponsoring this hybrid event next April 26 and 27, 2022 in the city of Santiago de Chile. Chile stands out for having one of the most stable regulations for land-based casinos in Latin America, as well as more than twenty large operations in the hands of transnationals. With the latent expectation of an upcoming regulation on online gaming, the Cgs organization chose this country for its 12th edition. The first sponsor of Cgs Latam 2022 are Btobet, Sportingtech, Caleta Gaming, Dotworkers, Playtech, Rct, Intervision Gaming, Evolution As previously announced, the “Superintendencia de Casinos de Juegos de Chile” is the official sponsor of the event. In this sense, the autonomous organism, through the Ministry of Finance, informs about some important points in the development of online gaming in the country.  "At the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Finance announced the entry of two bills that seek to modernize and make the gaming casino industry and its operations more flexible within the framework of the pandemic and the new reality of the industry, safeguarding the interests of the Treasury in the matter, one of which seeks to regulate the development of online gambling in the country, which today do not pay taxes, including online sports betting, online casino games and other games with bets, with the objective of generating a competitive market, safeguarding the public faith, protecting the health and safety of the players, increasing tax collection and making transparent the origins and destination of the resources obtained through these platforms. The Superintendency has collaborated as a technical body in the preparation of this project, which has not yet been submitted to the National Congress", said Vivién Villagrán - Superintendent of Chilean Gaming Casinos. In addition, on other projects that are under the direction of the regulatory entity, they emphasize the diffusion for the users/clients of the entertainment centers about the "Responsible Gaming" campaign with the purpose of being alert if there is any problem with the game, for which a global vision that involves different actors of the society is required. The organization, aware of the exceptional potential of this territory, began negotiations more than 6 months ago with the main associations, laboratories, authorities and suppliers of the sector to obtain the necessary support and carry out this new edition in the city of Santiago de Chile. The Cgs Latam will be held in hybrid format. Remote, bilingual and live conferences, as well as virtual expo and presence to facilitate the participation of all latitudes in this important event.    Through its companies CGS Group, InnovationLab and VEE, CGS stands out once again with a great selection of brands, products and topics to be developed.  The same way, Elizabeth Leiva, CEO of the conglomerate that today expands its offer to other industries operating from Chile, commented: "despite the sanitary conditions that can be a limiting factor for the good development of face-to-face events, virtuality is a great tool to take events to another level, achieve great impact and network despite the distance. In Chile we have the largest casinos in the region, transnational operators and a clear and transparent law that allows a healthy reopening and growth post pandemic. The expectation for the prompt online regulation, in a territory where there are more than 600 betting sites and a leakage of more than 100 million dollars in taxes, is the great expectation of the moment. There is an urgent need for a definition and roadmap in this regard. We hope that this government will take the step that has been expected for so long. Likewise, the new bids, next licenses and reordering of the street market, continue to be the unknowns and the attraction in a market with high indexes of Suspicious Operations Reports (ROS) as evidenced by reports of the UAF. These and other situations can be reversed with prompt legislation and improved supervision. We look forward to seeing you on April 26 and 27, in the city of Santiago de Chile, 2 days of training, business and networking, and above all, in a very safe manner", she emphasized.     Gioco News is one of the media partners of the event.
