New online gaming licences in Italy, seven operators excluded

The contracting commission appointed by the State Monopolies would have readmitted only Lottomatrix, seven operators excluded. For a State collection of €13.4 million.

First rumors about new concessions for online gaming, on which the contracting commission appointed by the Agenzia delle dogane e dei monopoli (the Italian regulator) is working. Only Lottomatrix would have been readmitted, while seven operators would have been excluded: Pi Piper Ltd, Betclic Ltd, Goal & Gaming srl (which appealed the exclusion to the Tar lazio), Constitution B&B online srl, Rabbit Entertainment, Play Live Ltd, Rating Consulting srl.

The reasons for the exclusions: "From the lack of the requirements specified in the invitation to tender to the failure to respond within the time set by the Procurement Code to the "preliminary investigation" procedure activated by the Agenzia delle dogane: in the latter case, some applicants had been requested within 10 days to provide clarifications or to integrate the documents presented". So, at least for now, there are 67 contractors and collections of €13.4 million for the state. The positions of Scommettendo srl, Spati srl, Sogno di Tolosa and Universal Solutions srl shall remain suspended. We are waiting for the assessments of the Autorità nazionale anticorruzione to send the final award letters and the convocation for the signature of the concession.
