Quentin Stott To Call For United Front On Alternative Payment Options at Euromat Summit

With a fresh new format and wide-reaching agenda, the Euromat 2018 Summit will take place from 4th– 6th June at Monaco’s Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort.

Traditionally the Summit has been popular with European gaming regulators and Euromat’s member trade associations but there are plans to expand its remit. The 2018 event will benefit from an enlarged agenda, reaching out to manufacturers, distributors and operators of gaming and amusements products, in addition to its existing base. EUROMAT President Jason Frost explains, “As an Operator myself, I’ve derived huge benefit from previous summits. They have provided me with a rare opportunity to meet with regulators, face to face, and to learn more about the European gaming landscape. The answers to many of the industry’s problems and opportunities lie with manufacturers and operators. They are the closest to technological developments and understand their customers; they are a natural fit and, in my view, it’s essential for them to be involved in the Summit. I’m happy to confirm that Quentin Stott, Founder and Managing Director of Reflex Gaming, will be joining us for the 2018 event and that Quentin has agreed to be a panellist on the session entitled Alternative Payment Options: Now Or Never? Quentin has an amazing knowledge of machine manufacture, and of producing games for the European markets and beyond,” reveals Jason. Quentin Stott’s entire career has been spent in the gaming industry, commencing in a small but entrepreneurial business called BWB which was subsequently acquired by Barcrest (now Scientific Games). Quentin became heavily involved in the Barcrest Group’s expansion into international markets during the time at which the company earned the Queen’s Award for Exports. Quentin was promoted to Director of Sales and saw the Barcrest Group’s change of ownership to IGT. In 1998, with funding secured from the Gauselmann Group, Quentin established QPS Interactive as a brand within Bell Fruit (now Novomatic) as the group’s rebuild specialist. QPS Interactive soon progressed from purely rebuilds into new machine sales, providing a stream of games into the UK pub, arcade and bingo markets. QPS also exported into Poland, the Ukraine, Latvia, Greece and other emerging markets. In 2004 Quentin established Reflex Gaming, a company specialising in the design and production of market-leading analogue and digital gaming machines for the UK’s land-based industry. Reflex Gaming employs 54 people at its 2,600 square metre facility in Newark, UK and smaller facilities in Bulgaria and The Netherlands. Reflex Gaming is a truly omni-channel games producer with core skills encompassing games development, software, graphic design, mechanical design and Q/A testing. Known for its innovative approach to product development, in 2015 Reflex Gaming was ranked at position 45 in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100, which tracks the UK’s fastest growing tech companies. Quentin is very much a believer in the benefits of a united industry: “I very much welcome the opportunity to take part in this year’s Euromat Summit. There are a number of opportunities and threats to our industry, some of which are not confined to any individual country’s legislative border. For example, the shift away from the use of physical money to the likes of contact debit cards, and also Apple Pay is moving at such a pace, that in my strong opinion, our industry should unite in lobbying to keep pace with these social changes. Failure to do so could result in catastrophic consequences for our sector,” warns Quentin.
