Special AWP and Vlt in Italy: performances of the 13 concessionaires

22 August 2014 - 14:36

If the outline of public gaming revenue and, more specifically, of entertainment devices (which represent the larger part of approximately 56 percent of the total) will be changing over time, and with it also the outline of concessionaires who manage the devices' networks changes, which differently contribute to the gross revenue, according, of course, to the number of machines connected to their network in addition to the operating profitability of the individual devices. In this sense, the bigger gross revenue has been (inevitably) on the Lottomatica network with €5.12 billion in the first half between Awp and vlts (compared to almost €5.7 in the same half nmonth of 2013), followed by Bplus with €3.2 billion (compared to about €3.8 in 2013). Then there is Cogetech with almost €2.1 billion in the first half of 2014 (compared to about €2.05 in 2013), then Hbg with €2.05 billion (compared to €2.04 billion in 2013). Then Sisal with little more than €1.96 billion in 2014 (compared to €2.1 billion in the first half of 2013).

THE MARKET SHARES – And we can also draft a rating of network concessionaires, always based on the economic performances of the double network of slots and vlts, listing the thirteen companies that manage new slots and vlts on the basis of market share. In the same reference period considered for the collection (i.e. the first half of 2014 compared to the same period of 2013), the leading concessionaire is Lottomatica with a market share of about 21.9 percent, although in decline of 1,4 percent compared to last year. Bplus follows with a share of 13.9 percent, in decline of one and half percentage point. Gamenet is in the third place, with a share of 11.25 percent, but in decline of nearly 1.85 percent compared to the previous year. Instead Cogetech is good; it is the fourth Italian operator with a market share of 9 percent but it increases of half percentage point compared to 2013 (the bigger growth among the 'historical' concessionaires). Then there is Hbg with a share of about 8.9 percent, but an increase of 0.28 percent. Sisal (8,46 percent in decline of 0,24), then Cirsa (6.46 percent of the market with an increase of 0.4), Gmatica (6.18 percent with an increase of 0.46), Snai (6 percent with an increase of 0.2), Codere (4.5 percent with an increase of 0.4) follow. Finally the three "new" concessionaires, who started their business only last year, leaded by Intralot Gaming Machines (IGM) with a share of 1.27 percent (+1.23 compared to last year), then Nts Network with a share of 1.17 per cent (+1.1 per cent) and finally NetWin Italia with a market share of 0.92 percent, with an increase of 0.4 percent.
