Countdown to the 1st Ibero-American Gaming Summit

Under the slogan 'Moving business toward Latin America', on 7 May, Madrid will host the first Ibero-American Gaming Summit. This encounter aims to become the first space for analysis of the gaming industry within the scope of Latin America.

The programme includes an Ibero-American Regulators Round Table, moderated by Selae Chairwoman Inmaculada García, with the presence of representatives from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru. This Round Table will analyse the current situation of the market, regulations in Latin America, relevant regulator aspects and trends in areas of the convergence of online gaming and its impact on live gaming, among other topics of international interest.
Next there will be a Regulation Round Table, led by PwC partner Patricia Manca Díaz, which will discuss the regulatory models and their evolution, tax implications in an activity with a global reach.
There will also be a Round Table dedicated to Innovation & Technology, moderated by GLI España Business Development Manager Aurora Merino, which will seek to discuss the outlook for internal platform control systems, approvals, hardware and software trends on the gaming market and the forecast for growth in Latin America.
During the Business Round Table, Egasa Casinos Director Antón Alba Raventós will invite us to analyse the global gaming market and the forecast for the Latin American market with the experience of those involved in the business: manufacturers, operators, service providers and other relevant agents, taking advantage of the fact that all of them will be on hand for the Summit.
Finally, Assistant Director General for Management and Instructional Relations for the Directorate General for Gaming (DGOJ) Laura Minguito Gil will moderate the Round TableCSR: Responsible Gaming & Advertising, which will seek to define and outline what it is that we consider to be Responsible Gaming. It will present the best practices and the experience and vision of the different Latin American regulators.
With the collaboration of the Spanish Ministry of the Treasury and Public Administrations, through the Directorate General for Gaming Regulation, this initiative is a platform for discussion and sharing knowledge, experiences with a view to integrating interests, innovation, consolidation and internationalisation of a very significant economic sector.
Major companies with a stake in the Gaming sector have confirmed their attendance, such as: PwC, Gaming Laboratories International (Gli), Egasa, Metronia, Cicor, Kirolbet, Paysafecard, Pentasia, MAG, Iberia, and others.
