The family-managed Gauselmann Group from Espelkamp in East Westphalia in Germany has applied for a second casino licence on Majorca that has been put out for tender by local government together with its Spanish subsidiary Dosniha. “We are planning a first-class resort with casino and luxury hotel as well as an extensive event programme at these extensive parklands with its castle in its centre. This will be a centre of appeal near and far”, explains Rolf Falke, spokesman of the management at Merkur International, a subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group.

The application was submitted in due time on Monday 29th April 2013. The planned investment sum for the project is about ten million euros. “We are sure that we will convince the licensor of our plans for sophisticated quality tourism. Furthermore, if granted the licence, then approx. 200 new jobs will be created”, concludes Rolf Falke.
