A great success for Eag international expo with visitors and exhibitors in upbeat mood. Despite adverse weather conditions and the accompanying travel disruption, the industry rallied to support its show, with both established and first-time exhibitors reporting high footfall and an increase in genuine buyers. Sega Amusements Europe reported an extremely busy three days. “We had our best first day ever and were seeing customers right up to the very last minute of the final day,” confirmed General Manager Justin Burke. At the Suzo-Happ stand, John Vallis was equally positive. “Suzo-Happ has had an excellent show in spite of the weather,” he revealed. First-time exhibitor Media Theme also enjoyed a busy inaugural event. “We have been very pleasantly surprised by the number of interested buyers and will certainly be returning next year,” confirmed Regional Sales Manager Ian Ball. Innovative Leisure’s Phil Pickersgill reported a perceptible increase in visitors. “We’ve seen an increase in the number of UK and overseas visitors representing the attractions sector, both at the show and at the First Night Party,” he observed.

Summarising the mood at EAG International Expo 2013, Chairman Martin Burlin was positive. “I’ve spoken to a large number of exhibitors during the show’s three days and am in no doubt that there is now a more optimistic spirit than we have experienced for some time. Many exhibitors view EAG International as the launch event for the new year, regarding the show as an indicator of what might be in store for the industry. "If the early indications are correct, hopefully we can all look forward to a positive outcome to 2013,” he predicted.
