Spielo International appoints Heutmekers to lead international casino business

Spielo International’s Senior Vice-President and COO, Victor Duarte, has announced the appointment of Marcel Heutmekers as Vice-President & General Manager for the International Casino business. Heutmekers brings a wealth of experience to his new role, most recently serving as Spielo International’s Senior Director of Developing Markets. In his new role, Heutmekers will now oversee all of Spielo International’s Casino Business, which includes Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

He plans to further continue the growth path from recent successes in the International Casino markets, increasing Spielo International’s global footprint. While Heutmekers focuses on the casino games and terminals side of the business, casino systems will remain the remit of Marc Attal, Managing Director, Casino Systems.
“Marcel joins my team after a very successful period overseeing the emerging markets of Latin America and Asia. Under Marcel’s leadership, we enjoyed a doubling of our business in Latin America and increased levels of stability and performance in our operations within these emerging markets,” said Duarte.
Heutmekers has had a long and successful career in the gaming business, including senior positions both on the operator and on the supplier side. As a result, he has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the needs of the
operators across the various territories. As part of his new role, he will be splitting his base between Spielo International offices in Luebbecke, Germany and Graz, Austria.
