Stern Pinball returning to Consumer Electronics Show with new pinball machines and digital games
The Chicago-based company is set to debut its full lineup of digital pinball games as well as the company’s latest arcade-quality pinball machines
Stern Pinball, the world’s oldest and largest producer of arcade-quality pinball machines, will be exhibiting at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 9th-12th. This year’s booth presentation will build off of last year’s honor of being selected by Usa Today as a Ces 2017 top 5 showstopper.

The game immerses players in a dynamic, challenging, and galactic pinball environment where Star-Lord, Rocket, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, and Groot battle Ronan to stop him from using the Infinity Stone to destroy the galaxy. All models feature stunning and distinctive hand-drawn art. Guardians of the Galaxy entertains with an amazing array of modern and classic features, making it suitable for all skill levels.
All of the Stern Pinball machines at Ces 2018 feature Stern’s powerful Spike electronics hardware system. Spike reduces system complexity and energy usage which results in improved reliability and easier-to-service games. The Spike electronic platform enables high-definition graphics and innovative animations on Stern’s new high-definition video display. The state-of-the-art electronic system also powers a high-fidelity 3-channel audio system that is three times more powerful than audio systems of previous generations. The Stern Pinball Arcade was developed in partnership with Oculus and FarSight Studios and provides gamers with a unique, exciting, and realistic pinball experience based on digital recreations of some of the all-time greatest Stern Pinball titles. Stern Pinball will be showcasing its Ghostbusters release for the Stern Pinball Arcade across gaming platforms including: Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, iOS, Steam, Oculus Rift and more! Oculus, a subsidiary of Facebook and one of VR’s leading companies, provides unique VR experiences through its products – Rift and the Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus.
“This has been a fun partnership with Stern,” said Bobby King, co-founder of FarSight Studios. “We think Ces attendees are going to have a great time playing Ghostbusters across the different gaming platforms. Stern’s titles and game design with our technology is proving to be a killer combination for pinball fans. You can play Stern’s titles anywhere, anytime it does not get any better than that!”
