Eag International e Vae 2018: a game changer of an event

With January now in prospect, preparations are being finalised across the amusements, gaming and attractions sectors for the ninth EAG International & Visitor Attractions Expo.

Scheduled for 16-18th January 2018, EAG & VAE has become firmly established as the essential start to the New Year, and the point at which many leisure operators place equipment orders for the forthcoming season. EAG International and VAE provides the opportunity to see, to experience and to evaluate the latest products from more than 150 manufacturers. In the leisure sector, there is always a speculative element to any amusement machine purchase, but with the numerous networking and social events, there are plenty of opportunities to discuss and compare notes with industry colleagues. EAG International & VAE’s appeal continues to widen, reflecting changes in the marketplace by building on its coin-op and gaming roots to embrace the attractions and indoor and adventure play sectors. The show’s broader base is also reflected in a well-rounded seminar and education programme. Plans for the 2018 sessions include some extremely innovative approaches to business-building and to risk management; details to be released shortly. For many of the event’s visitors, EAG & VAE is about networking. Several trade associations now hold their meetings during the show and there are always opportunities to socialise in a relaxed environment at ‘After Hours at EAG’, the show’s own networking reception. Many exhibitors and participating trade associations also organise their own social gatherings to coincide with the show. In today’s fast moving business environment time is a precious commodity but it would be difficult to imagine a more productive investment than time spent at EAG & VAE. With the latest products on display, along with the opportunity to compare ideas with fellow professionals, that investment might just prove to be a game-changer.
