Eig: in Berlin the Gioco News' round table discussion between European gaming regulators

A round table discussion between main gaming regulators in Europe scheduled at Eig in Berlin, next October the 19th, with the support of the Gioco News network. A specific legislation and an appropriate taxation are the two basic elements of a good public gaming policy, creating the right way to defeat illegal gaming. However, the critical point is how to create this kind of balance and, above all, how to maintain it in a context in constant and very rapid evolution as the one characterizing gaming industry. For a real challenge that regulators of various European countries are facing every day, with some success - like the one represented just from Italy, with particular reference to legal developments concerning the online - and other less fortunate situations, as the striking example of France, where an excessive taxation discouraged business investments and encouraged illegal gambling, contrary to the principles underlying gaming reform. The next edition of Eig Expo (Excellence in Gaming) focuses its attention just on this challenge faced by regulators of gaming industry of different European countries: the series of international conferences (accompanied by an exhibition area) of Clarion Events dedicated to the world of online gaming, scheduled for October 18 - 20 2016 in Berlin in the next edition, will host a round table discussion - in cooperation with GiocoNews - to be attended by the regulators of the main European markets and of some emerging markets, in order to seek the best practices coming from individual countries and make them a common factor. Looking for the right balance needed to fight illegal gaming. A NEW INTERNATIONAL EVENT - After the GiocoNews.it seminar at ICE Totally Gaming in London 'The Italy Briefing', dedicated to the Italian case as a success story in the regulation of online gaming, at EiG in Berlin we will further deepen in a more general way the issue by comparing the regulators of the main European markets. In addition to the Italian case and its model that has allowed the emergence of a large part of the illegal market, bringing new operators to invest in the country (which will be proposed again looking to the latest regulatory developments in recent months, thanks to the presence of the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli) the cases of other major countries such as France, Spain and the Island of Malta will be analyzed. But we will also look at emerging markets, such as Denmark, which regulated the sector in recent years with a partially innovative model, or Portugal, that now is just getting launched. An important parterre - If the proposed topic is of general interest and great ambitions, a very important parterre is enriching the event, composed of the main gaming chiefs in Europe. Starting from the presence of the Agenzia delle dogane e dei monpoli's general manager Alessandro Aronica, representing the Italian experience, even today considered a model in Europe because of the many virtues of its system, accompanied by the agenzia delle dogane e dei monopoli's online director, Daria Petralia, who will get straight to the heart of technical and regulatory issues linked to the online market. Arjel President (the authority that regulates online gaming) Charles Coppolani will represent France; for Spain, the Dgoj's General Director Carlos Hernandéz Rivera, while the Malta Gaming Authority's Chairman, Philip Graf, will represent the Island of Malta. 'Turismo de Portugal' (Departamento de Regulação do Jogo)'s Vice President, Teresa Monteiro, will represent the emerging Portugal, in addition to the attendance of a Spillemyndigheden's speaker, that is to say the Danish Gambling Authority, to tell the Denmark experience in gaming field. EIG NUMBERS - The 2016 edition of EiG will come back (October 18-20) at the Arena in Berlin, Germany, for the second consecutive year, after the success of the previous edition. EiG is the leading event dedicated to gaming industry completely focused on achieving excellence in gaming, organized by the same company that operates the Ice exhibition in London.
