One of them, namely Paul Gauselmann, the company founder and Chairman of the eastern Westphalian Gauselmann Group, has been honoured for his services and realisation of the further development of the social market economy in Germany. Paul Gauselmann has been active for 25 years in the Economic Council of the CDU and has been able to provide invaluable impetus on numerous occasions within this framework. “As entrepreneur, it is important to constantly have one’s eyes on the ‘complete picture’. That means to be also involved for the concerns of one’s own industry and for the common good alongside one’s own entrepreneurial activities. I personally have been politically active in professional associations since 1966 and since 1987 in the Economic Council as well. I see this accolade which I am very pleased to have received as recognition for my long-term commitment and an incentive for the future at the same time”, stated Paul Gauselmann during the bestowal of this honourary certificate.
